Tabby P asked: If I TradeMark a name after the fact that the TradeMark name “Domain Name” has been registered to someone else, and if the Domain Name which i just got a Trademark(only the name, excluding “.com) on was not a developed website, just a “Parked Page”.Can I sue over the domain name that I have TradeMark on?Can I legally sue and win the Domain Name?
Let me explain a little better, this is an example:
John Billybob registered the domain, Google.com in 2001.
Google Inc. got a Trademark on the “Google” name in 2005.
John BillyBob never developed a site, just sat on the domain name.
Can Google legally take John`s domain away from him, being that Google,Inc just got the TradeMark on “Google”?

painter in ohio asked: I own quite a few domain names. One of these domain names I purchased has recently been questioned by the company I purchased it from. A registar that will remain nameless has sent an email demanding that I hand over this domain name within 10 business days due to Trademark Infringement, and Intellectual Property Rights.
However, these sites are not directed to defer any customers from there site and even have no real existence in the world wide web. They do even direct you to the said website that sells domain names, because the page is parked with said company.
If based off what they are saying, how can this truly be a case of trademark infringment? If you visit a domain registar type any trademarked company in their search engine to find availaiblity……….The registar will tell you the domain name is unavailable, BUT will offer you a large list of unused domain names with the said trademark in the domain name.
So basically what i’m trying to get to, is that, if they are claiming the domain names I have Infringe on their trademark, how is it they can sell to the general public other domain names that indeed infringe on other companys?
Though I don’t have the funds to hire the proper attorney for this very specific field, I will stand my ground on this.
My domain names in no way shape or form have been used, intenionally been registered to harm, or otherwise been used to cause any conflict with anyone.
I’ve merely invested in domain names, due to the increasingly large demand for domain names for companys and the amount people search the internet.
Could anyone offer any suggestion in how to handle this, and if I need an attorney is there ways to get one on a pro bono (I think thats what it’s called) status?
Any help would be appreicated, and I thank you so much for taking the time to read this

An Obama Nation asked: A US court has tried to shut down a controversial website that allows whistle-blowers to post corporate and government documents anonymously, but the court has no jurisdiction to do so.
The site, known as Wikileaks.org, has been taken offline in the US due to a court order from the District Court in San Francisco. However, the site remains online in other countries, including Belgium and Germany.
The order came after a Swiss bank, Julius Baer, earlier this month filed a complaint against the site and San Mateo, California-based Dynadot, Wikileaks’ domain-name registry, for posting several hundred of the bank’s documents.
Some of those documents allegedly reveal that Julius Baer was involved in offshore money laundering and tax evasion in the Cayman Islands for customers in several countries, including the US.
The court ordered that “Dynadot shall immediately clear and remove all DNS hosting records for the wikileaks.org domain name,” according to court documents. It also said that Dynadot should prevent the domain name from resolving to the wikileaks.org site or any other website or server other than a blank park page until further notice
The controversy actually centers around banks accounts that show the US laundering drug money.

us_hegemony asked: I know that with the expansion of eminent domain laws, the government thinks they own all private property, but to mean the term public means places that are owned by the government, such as courthouses and government owned parks. When did the words private vs. public get blurred in the eyes of Americans?

aquafish77 asked: I’m hoping someone may have some feedback on the following: I love Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. I am both a writer and photographer. I would like to build a website featuring my photos and articles about the park. But I question the legality of doing so. Does anyone know if this is legal or not? Would the pictures I take of the museums be considered in public domain? I look forward to any feedback and hope you have a great weekend ahead. Thanks in advance.
